The Peopleton Defibrillator Fund was set up in 2014 after the “early morning dog walking ladies” came up with the idea.
Appeal letters were circulated to all local residents, resulting in a 50% response and a total of £4,000 raised. This included donations from The Parish Council, Parish Lands, The Croome Hunt Branch of The Pony Club, Worcestershire Game Farm together with a generous sponsorship from Tony & Peter Lockwood of HFN Landscapes.
The Village Pantry & Post Office defibrillator and cabinet has been installed (external) with a further two defibrillators installed at the Village Hall (external) and The Crown Inn.
This is an ongoing fund, starting with the training of our own village First On Scene Responders (dealing with all emergencies directed by the West Midlands Ambulance Service), maintenance, First Aid Equipment, Batteries and Replacement Pads.
