Our school is a happy and hard working community in which everyone is encouraged to play a full and important part.
Our average class size is 14 and we have an overall pupil to teacher ratio of 1:9. Classes in the Infants and Juniors are limited to 16. Year groups in the Middles and Seniors may average 26 – 28. These are then taught in two ability groups thus maintaining our small class sizes. Bowbrook’s strength lies in its size. It allows the staff to be aware of the potential and the needs of each individual.
This ‘personalised’ approach enables all pupils to flourish. We are large enough to compete and to challenge, yet small enough to care.
Bowbrook House School’s traditional values support the learning of the children as they study the past and prepare for today’s demanding and fast changing world and for their future in it. We enjoy making links with the wider community, both locally and nationally, providing our pupils with the skills to work well with their peers, the working world and the wider academic community.
